Japanese architect has been able to capture in this project an old dream: to play the almost mystical sensations experienced by visiting the Chapelle du Rosaire, lit through stained glass windows by Matisse. The facility was in the MUSEUM.beyondmuseum Seoul Korea.



Recreate the sensations
Tokujin Yoshioka lived in the Chapelle du Rosaire, was an old dream that the architect had in his youth. With just over 20 years, Tokujin traveled to France on business. In Vence, near Nice, visited the chapel with stained glass windows created by Henri Matisse in his later years. There was captivated by the light of Provence who entered the room through the window of vibrant colors ... and since then, the architect has dreamed of designing a place to play your feelings.




The Rainbow Church is a showcase of more than 8 feet high made of 500 glass prisms that reflect light rainbow and fill the space of a thousand colors. The facility will be exposed in the MUSEUM. beyondmuseum in Seoul ...



Born in Japan in 1967, Yoshioka Tokujin worked with Issey Miyake from 1988 until 2000 established his own interior design and architecture. Miyake made to design shops and other temporary installations, experience has enabled him to devote himself as one of the best commercial designers. He has worked on projects for retail spaces Bulgari, Hermès, Toyota, BMW, or Moroso Swarovski, among others. He has won numerous prestigious awards and some of his works are in the permanent collections of museums like MoMA or the Pompidou Centre.
