Google changed again today (05/11/2011) your logo ('doodle'). Just 49 hours after celebrating the 77th anniversary of the British illustrator Roger Hargreaves , it is to commemorate the 117th anniversary of Martha Graham (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 11 May 1894-1 April 1991) who was a dancer and choreographer, recognized as the initiator of modern dance. It was an exceptional artist and his work is matched to the work of Picasso and Kandinsky in the arts. For her, modern dance was not product of invention, but the discovery of first principles.
His last appearance came to dance late 1960, and thereafter focused on the choreography. Some critics say that although there is little existing record of their dances, they are more memorable than his work as a choreographer. Graham continued to work in art until 1991 when he died of natural causes at age 96. He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1976 by U.S. President Gerald Ford (First Lady Betty Ford had danced with Graham in her youth.)
In 1998, TIME magazine named her 'Dancer Century ', and one of the most important twentieth century.
The 'doodle' of today Google is once again lively and white and brown. By accessing the site, is a figure that emulates a monk and is slowly dancing and giving rise to different characters until finally a dancer finds the name of Google.
